Life at MSI-DS
Working for MSI-DS as a service engineer, my role is to fit and commission weapon systems on behalf of our customers, whether to new ships entering service or retro fitting to ships that are already in service and are going through an upgrade programme. This is a role that I take tremendous pride in as I am the face of MSI-DS when out on site, whether that is in the UK or for our customers abroad.
As a company, MSI-DS have invested in me enabling me to develop and improve both my mechanical and electrical skills, which has benefited me to become a better engineer, which also benefits MSI-DS.
With new projects that MSI-DS are investing in, as a service engineer it is an exciting and challenging time. With the introduction of new weapon systems, MSI-DS are at the forefront of providing naval defence systems to the Royal Navy and many navies around the globe.

Consequently, as an SME, MSI-DS provides opportunities for employees to flourish and make a significant contribution whilst working both individually and collaboratively in multi disciplinary project teams. This environment has enabled me to significantly broaden my experience, further my education and provided a variety of interesting and challenging work assignments with an identifiable sense of achievement that is reflected throughout the company’s underlying culture.
