MSI-Defence Systems' navigation equipment is in service with more than 30 navies fitted to surface vessels and submarines. Many significant achievements in navigation technology have been made by the company including the first automated naval plotting table developed in conjunction with the UK Admiralty Research Laboratories. Around 200 of the latest, SPL, plotting tables have been built. SPL AIO PLOTTING TABLE The SPL type "AIO" plotting table displays real-time information to the ships command. It provides integrated track management for navigation and tactical applications using both own ship's data and multiple track data. Its inherent interface flexibility, accommodating a variety of inputs, enables the SPL to meet many operational requirements. The SPL "AIO" plotting table can be used as a completely autonomous unit or integrated into a vessels command and control system. It comprises a large plotting surface, a keyboard/display unit, (with joystick option), and a multipage plasma display. A variety of sensor inputs are accommodated and a hard copy facility is available. |
